Dear Friends,
Please find the rules attached for the chess tournament to be held under the
aegis of Indian Social Club, Sohar on Friday, 1st June in Sohar Plaza (Cinema
complex) from 2 pm onwards. The event is open to all whether members of ISC,
Sohar, non-members and for all nationalities.
For active members of Indian Social Club, Sohar i.e those who have paid their
annual subscription for 2012 entry is free while for others it is R.O 1.000 per
person. For entries please send an sms with your details or contact the
following Mr. Nell 99004413 & Mr.
Asim Mohd. 92839039.
The draw for the event will take place at 2 pm at the venue. All participants
must reach the venue and register prior to the draw latest by 1.30 pm. Once the
draw is made no changes / entries will be entertained.
The event will take place in seperate Male and Female categories of
- Less than 12 years
- 12 years to 18 years
- Above 18 years
However in the event of less number of entries recieved in a particular category
the categories may be clubbed. All are requested to get chess boards with them
on the day of the tournament. Volunteers desirous to help may please give their
