The event started at 8 am in the morning and ended late at night at 9.30 pm. The
final was a pulsating one and was decided on the last ball. The winners were
Jindal Shadeed Iron & Steel and the worthy runners up were Al Nahdha group of
companies. The event was supported by HDFC Home loans, Composite Pipes, Al
Nahdha and FAQ International. I wish to thank them on behalf of the Executive
Committee of Indian Social Club, Sohar.

Eid Mubarak.
We had a very successful Table Tennis and Badminton tournament on 21st Oct. 2011
in Sohar Sports Complex. The event was sponsored by Bank Muscat. Lots of you
turned up to support us and to take part. We had close to 150 entries in both
the events.
Now the Executive Committee of Indian Social Club, Sohar announces a Corporate
Cricket tournament -
2011 to be held at Naidul
Arbi grounds, near Sallaan Roundabout on Friday 25th Nov. 2011 from 7 am
onwards. Tournament will be 6-over a side with 8 players in each team and 1
substitute.
All those corporate teams interested to take part must give their entry to Mr
Nell Vaz (99004413)
or to Dr Mahesh Mistry (99418047) or to any Executive Committee member at
the earliest but not later than 20th Nov. 2011. Please call between 5 pm to 8 pm
on any day to give your entries. Total number of teams are a maximum of 32.
Entry is on first come first serve basis and will be confirmed only on reciept
of the entry fee of R.O 75/-. This is inclusive of specially printed Indian
Social Club, Sohar T-shirts for each player carrying your company name in
different colours.
Entry fee of R.O 75/- must be paid latest by 5 pm on Monday, 21th Nov.
2011 for the T-shirts to be
printed. Last date to accept entries is 22nd Nov. 2011 for the draw to take
place, but printing on the T-shirts is not guaranteed then.
All teams once they have given their entry to contact Mr. Nell @ 99004413 for details about draw, timings of
matches, meeting of captains etc. and to give their team members T-Shirt sizes.
Rules and regulations of the tournament are attached in this mail.
Sponsorship is welcome for the whole tournament, for prizes like Man of the
Match, Player of the Tournament, Winner and Runners-up trophy etc.
Sponsorship request letter is attached with this mail. For details of
sponsorship please contact me or any Executive Committee member.
